On June 6, 2026, our membership took to the polls and used their voices to help determine the future direction of the Puyallup Tribe.
Here are the unofficial results:
Tim Reynon: 642
Amber Hayward: 626
Monica Miller: 505
James Rideout: 500
Congratulations to Tim Reynon and Amber Hayward, who were elected by the membership to serve on the Puyallup Tribal Council. Voters have entrusted them with the responsibility of helping guide the Tribe forward and making decisions that will impact future generations.
Prior to the election, Puyallup Nation News had the opportunity to speak with both candidates about their priorities, concerns, and vision for the Tribe. While their backgrounds and experiences differ, both emphasized the importance of stronger communication between leadership and membership, increased transparency, and greater community engagement.
Throughout their interviews, Hayward spoke about the importance of cultural connection, mentorship, and bringing people together, while Reynon emphasized accountability, long-term planning, member involvement, and sustainable economic growth. Together, those themes reflect many of the hopes members expressed throughout this election season.
As they begin their terms, members will be looking forward to seeing those priorities put into action through wise business decisions, open communication, meaningful opportunities for member involvement, and continued efforts to strengthen our community.
We congratulate both council members on their election and wish them success as they take on the responsibility of serving the Puyallup Tribe and its membership.
Thank you to Jim Jim and Monica for their time in Tribal Council.
