I would like to take this opportunity to thank all the tribal members who supported me and the Full Circle members who works as campaigner for the candidate and all their support.  Everyone has the right to support their candidate whether or not they belong to an organization or not.  It’s like the tribe supports the candidates for senate, congress and even the president, we as tribal members have that same right.

During the election process I realize that being nice to people can sometimes jeopardize your position as Tribal Council.  I would like to say that we have inherent rights as human beings and also under our constitution to freedom of speech and expression.   If our ancestors and parents just sat back and let the government terminate the treaties than we wouldn’t have what we have today, they put up a fight, they struggled relentlessly and sacrificed a lot of things in their lives for the future.

I look back at the way things were going and needless to say some of the people were not looking towards the future but rather at what they could do for themselves.   WE are not like that, I am going to enjoy getting programs, building buildings and setting up goals for the future.

It has been rather busy these past few days, but I am settling in just fine, I enjoy meeting with all the different employees and discussing ideas with the other councilmen,  So, once again thanks to all of you for your support and confidence in my election.

And we are not getting rid of per-capitas, rather if YOU REMEMBER when the past council made a motion to cut the kid’s percapita, is when FULL CIRCLE came into existence,  so thanks to all the previous council for giving our people the courage and conviction to start FULL CIRCLE.  And to be accountable to ALL TRIBAL MEMBERS.
